I posted this in the "I Can't Give You Anything But Love" thread, but I'm posting it here too, because I'm low-key serious about it . If "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" is a single, y'all BETTER let me have that damn single thread. Hearing my fave cover a song by my other fave is going to make me die happy.
No shade but this is soooo much better than Anything Goes. I haven't gotten tired of it yet.
It is! Gaga's borderline shouting in "Anything Goes" was a bit grating after a while, but this track is much more mellow. I like it it a lot! I hope they submit this to the Grammys instead of "Anything Goes" (unless they have better tracks yet on C2C to release as singles ).
We've said the same about mamy songs now, incl MTN and songs from ARTPOP. I think we have no clue what would give her a hit and what not, at least right now.

Me too. After seeing "G.U.Y." flop, even with a flawless amazing video, I really don't know what a gurl's to do to get back in the spotlight. Still a mystery as to how/why that video was funded tbh, but it really didn't work out.

Ikr? G.U.Y. was a decent choice, I love the song btw, had an amazing video and still it wasn't enough.
Some of us think we know what would work but we really don't. It's just our wishful thinking combined with personal preferences.

G.U.Y. was never going to happen. It's a song about power bottoming y'all did not really think that was going top 10 did you? Especially after a 3 month mid-era blackout and no video for flailing single DWUW. It's a fun song but it's not the sound that radio cares about anymore. Zedd did that song wrong imo
I don't mean to be negative. Gaga's really smart and I think she'll easily pull off a more commercial "comeback" album next era. ARTPOP was kind of a last hoorah of The Fame Monster sound in pop music. Gaga's smart and I doubt she'll try and pull it off again.
I'm expecting a Lorde / Adele sound mixed with a bit of House/Deep-House for LG4. Bookmark.

Oh please, I didn't even know what is power bottoming before I came on ATRL (as most of the gp).
I feel like if she compiles an album solely of unreleased material, that could be her comeback. That's if she's willing to release singles tho.

no lol.. the draggings in the media would leave the album in a worst state than ARTPOP at its debut.. i can already picture the headlines of Gaga being over, having to revert back to old unreleased material etc.
