I am just trying to decide what I am going to do. I am leaning towards pharmacy because that is practical, but I love foreign languages, and my dream is to work at the U.N. as a translator/assistant. I am torn

I am sorry to hear that.
Go for your dream. If you wanna be a translator, major in International Relations with a concentration in the language you want. You can do this all in undergrad. Pharmacy needs grad school so it would actually be more tedious. If you live in the NY or DC area, try looking for any kind of work at the UN, embassies, or federal govt. Those make for great on-the-job training/professional references. My sister majored in this. It's a good major but very competitive. From what she says, it seems work experience matters more than degree.
