I like Jo Colderone. But the second-hand embarrassment that I felt while I was watching the VMAs was just too much to handle.

Yeah, it should've been Y&I U.S./Scheisse international for 4th single and Hair WW for 5th single, close era. Following a country/rock/pop ballad with an electronic song was a huge mistake in the U.S., and Y&I killed the era internationally so MTN never really had a chance.

TF: Starstruck, and Paper Gangsta (arguable).
TFM: Monster, Dance In The Dark, and So Happy I Could Die.
BTW: Hair (IDK what they were ****ing thinking when they paid it dust), Scheiße, and Heavy Metal Lover (arguable)

Still think Marry The Night should have closed the era because I became a fan around the video release, but the rest I agree with

You and I is one of her best songs and a very good MV, don't try it. It was a good single choice, maybe they could have gone with Hair in EU tho.
At the end of the day, I'm ok with most of the single choices through her career. The only thing I would have changed is add Sexxx Dreams between Applause and DWUW, but everything else is cute.

The MTN era was the best of the entire BTW album era, hands down, but MTN easily could've been replaced with Hair, imo.

Yeah, Hair probably would have done better as well, but she could probably have done 6 singles in the event that she followed what you suggested. No point dwelling on the BTW era though, it was pretty incredible imo.
