Why are Britney Spears stans so ****ing subborn? She's hasn't done much influencing this year, just point blank, everytime someone says something that could be offensive to the stans, it's OMFG she's done this, she's done that, it's sickening.

and i dont believe having a bunch of big hits makes someone more influencial...the music itself should speak, not how successful they were.

Jessica Simpson was very influential this year ya'll. She made the biggest transition this year, from pop to country. She should be #1

PEOPLE, Britney should NOT be on that list, SORRY maybe next year, but she really has not done ANYTHING monumental this year, she had her "comeback" but until the promotion, the CD release, and the tour start to happen, then I think it's when you can call it "influential" we still don't KNOW if all her fanbase has come back to buy Circus, so for her being "the most influential this year", sorry even I have to say, there should have been other artists to replace her.
and whoever said Ciara as artist of the year,t hat is the biggest joke around. Her first single, failed,flop,was a CATASTROPHE!!!! even with a hot video, she has lost her steam, she has put out NOTHING amazing this year, and I still do NOT understand Billboard's choice of her as woman of the year, possibly because she was the only one that had the time to actually commit to doing functions for that award. what a joke.

She's been doing that since 1999.  This says Top Five of 2008. Blackout was released in 2007, therefore that could be accustomed to 2007.
I would agree, but, this beyond being a fanatic stan trying to prove a point, when there isn't one to prove. Obviously Britney influences pop culture, but this says Top Five Musical Influences of 2008, Top Five Cultural Influences of 2008. If that was the case, she'd be #1 and Rihanna wouldn't be here.

As I said, if that's the case Blackout was 2007. It's not like it was most talked about in 2008. People were talking about her visits to hospitals, and losing her kids again in February. Then she started getting better, and we're heading into 2009. Trust me, that will be her MUSICAL influence.
And don't be stubborn, success is a factor.
