I'm not even ready for this performance. I want a video montage with all her achievements making an amazing intro, maybe a Billboard style video tribute from more celebs. Then Bey hits the stage and does something unique and powerful to introduce.
Like her intros always slay and are different I think, it's often the highlight of her performances.
Then a 10 minute plus medley with no guest performers, followed by an award giving speech by someone close to her or a music legend perhaps, concluded with an amazing and planned acceptance speech by her.
All I need for her to do is slay, more than she did with DIL at the Grammys. I need her to shut it down and to show shes the Queen of Performance and Entertainment. Thats all im asking for.

The Grammy's was such a mess she could have so easily just done her tour performance (before it was a tour performance) with a nice weave, hot costume, dancers, choreo and Jay and just been more into it.

This SL performance was great, but it's over-rated by the Hive. Maybe it's because I saw it a million times prior to the VMA performance?
But I was utterly slayed by these performances, much more so than SL in 2009:
Beyoncé is horribly underrated as a dancer on this site. Her dancing is to me one of the main things that sets her performances so high. Like that Single Ladies performance just posted, everything was on beat, in rhythm, every accent was hit, dancing just as hard as her backup dancers. Ring The Alarm on the OTR tour is also a great example, how she literally hits every movement so crisp and clean.

It's not even the choreography but the way she executes it that is so good.
Also I've said this before but her tour dancers from this year are easily some of the best backup dancers in the industry (minus Hannah, Sarah and Hajiba ), because I've watched so many other artists performances and focused on their dancers and just thought how low of a standard some of them are compared to the mrs. carter girls
