It's a shame, but they probably won't get n.1 in UK, because Ella Henderson is releasing on the same day a she's definitely going to have bigger debut.

Who cares, that's like 30k higher than what ARTPOP opened with

Where did you get that from?
Didn't ARTPOP open with like 65k?
What's with the crazy predictions we have been getting the past few weeks. Just a few days ago someone said it'll open w/ 200k+ in the US.

Gosh.

OMG. The very first time we heard Do What U Want with it being Gaga's magically produced first pre-chorus on that Beats commercial. Literally the most excited I've ever been.

Predictions for ARTPOP were bigger than what it actually sold IICR. So we'll just have to wait and see if predictions for C2C will be accurate.

Oh. Paul Moss
He's the one who predicted 200k in the US too. Let's not get our hopes up.

I don't recall what ARTPOP predictions were for the UK, but obviously they were much higher in the U.S. than what it actually sold.
I would think that they'd have a better idea of what a jazz album would sell though, but I guess still there's no clear way of knowing. I do think jazz buyers are loyal, though, which is what will push this album to sell so much.

Watch this open with more than ARTPOP did.

It is not going to open higher than ARTPOP anywhere.

C2C's reviews will start pouring in one week before its release, right? If they're mostly positive, we can expect it to open with decent/big numbers. Critics are the ones that turned off a lot of casual listeners from giving a chance to ARTPOP after all.

They have that pre-taped CBS interview lined up, smart promo. They should just put some commercials on some of the older skewing shows and call it a day tbh. They don't need to go hard with the promo. Maybe line up some performances or another special or something for the holidays. Like I said, jazz buyers are pretty loyal and see to be aware of releases happening with minimal promo.

I can't speak for elsewhere, but I reckon the C2C campaign in the UK should play out like this:
- Featured interview/shoot with them in the Times/Guardian weekend mag before release.
- Albums displayed in supermarkets, iTunes banner, strategically aired TV ad and Amazon email.
- Performance and interview on Jonathan Ross Show.
- Release festive song for Christmas, whether it's on C2C or a holiday EP.
- Air PBS special on BBC/ITV in December.
- Record performances for Jools Holland's NYE Hootenanny. Perfect for demographic and she'll shine.
- Albert Hall concert(s) in January. If PBS special aired on ITV, they could possible film this and air on BBC.
- Have Gaga perform solo at the Brits (younger demographic).
If they get the UK embracing C2C, they'll be in good shape.
It'd be great if there's a solo, viable single on there, i.e. Paradise, that she can push as a solo single to appeal to more demographics.

Jewels and drugs, baby, hustle
Smother it up if you want to be bad
Slap honey on your pancake
We know how to make a lot of money

Also, artRave doesn't seem as exciting.
