The first series was so much more emotional. I cried, like, nearly every episode. Like when Tucker transmuted Nina, I literally cried so much. Or when Hughes died and had his kid asking from him to come back during his funeral . Or Alphonse's daily teenage angst. The movie was very sad too.

Haven't seen the movie.

The series did slay though. Lets hope Game Of Thrones directors can continue with a great story when they overtake the books.

Season one > season two IMO, but it was still pretty good. Like you said, there are some issues with acting, but I really like the concept and the setting is really effective in conveying the dark themes.

Yeah the first episode was kind of depressing, especially the end of it. The music they use in it is really good/conveys the mood amazingly as well.

Does s2 get that much worse?
