BTD got most of its sales sitting in the lower half of the Billboard 200. People called it a flop throughout 2012 on here too.
So no, saying BTD sold well and Ultraviolence is a flop is not correct, because Ultraviolence is still performing better week-by-week than BTD did.

Why is this such a hard concept?

Like, she was NEVER doing major numbers week-to-week. She sells small amounts steadily over time. It's really not that hard to grasp.

People aren't embarrassed to like Lana. Straights everywhere are still buying BTD and loving it whilst giving UV a miss. The fact that they're still buying her 2.5 year old album shows that people like her still. They'll give her another chance with her next album but she needs to bring it.

Ultraviolence is obviously selling better than BTD because people actually know who she is now, unlike during BTD where it took 2 years for everyone to discover her. It's like saying Born This Way sold better than The Fame just because it was frontloaded (like Ultraviolence will be too). If anyone actually thinks she will have the same longevity

I've noticed that everyone with good taste (Jameson, MrP, Robyn, Damien, Kang, BoyOnBoy Wonder) are stanning for MeGODhan. No surprise there!

IT'S NOT EVEN SELLING BETTER.
12k in Week 6; coming off a debut of almost 200,000.
BTD sold 11k in Week 6; coming off a debut just above 75,000.
