1. She went platinum this year, more than 2 years after release, with a re-release. This album sounds completely different than BTD. BTD was trip-hop and had uptempos with pop hooks with clean and polished vocals. Ultraviolence is almost entirely rock-based with guitars, live drums, and more lo-fi vocals.
2. She had a huge amount of media buzz off of Video Games, Born To Die, the SNL fiasco, and the ~intrigue~ of her being a new artist who surfaced out of nowhere.
