Queensland Public Transport truly is the pits

In somewhat similar news I passed my provisional driving test today and now have my P's!

I think when I go to uni (looking at Griffith Nathan/Gold Coast). I might just drive. I can't stand these overpriced fares especially on buses, where the drivers are 9 times out of 10 absolute ****s!

The fares are ridiculous. I live right by one of the new tram stops and it's awesome but **** me, $3.50-odd to go one stop, or $4.20 to go the entire length... ridiculous. They should be encouraging people to use it, not deterring them. The upside is I don't have to deal with the rude bus drivers any more because of it, or know the timetable as they come every 7.5 minutes.

Gold Coast campus is great, however, parking is an issue and can be expensive... unless you park in some residential estate and walk a km to uni.

I went to the QUT Open Day, but their OP cutoff's are a lot less lenient than what I've seen at Griffith for the courses I'm thinking about applying for and I really don't think I'd want to catch the never ending train ride into Brisbane City every day.

I finished my bachelor of business a few years ago now, but it's a decent campus and they've only recently spent a ton of money on a medicine/oral health and architecture building. Plus the new hospital over the road. What are you planning on studying? Outside of the above, it's fairly basic, but in the end of the day, you still get your qualifications.

The only reputable uni in Qld is UQ, and even that has nothing on those down south.

I think I'll look into PR/Event Management type stuff. I'm so unorganised. I have honestly no clue what to do with my life.
