Canadian radio is forced to play all these random, mediocre artists because of laws that dictate that Canadian content has to be a certain percentage on radio, but occasionally it helps an amazing song that otherwise would have gone unnoticed break through ("Call Me Maybe" -almost certain this is how Bieber heard it and ended up signing her, I mean under what other terms would the lead single from a Canadian Idol flop's second album get airplay?-, "Closer" by Tegan & Sara and now "Hideaway").
