She has had non stop promo for all her eras plus a movie. It just ain't adding up to album sales.

For some reason, Katy fans don't like to be reminded of the movie. Having an entire movie play in theaters all over the world is amazing promotion and, really, there is no excuse why Katy didn't shift more albums.

Wow, people love her and want to see her. Poor Gaga.

Anyways, she's mainly a singles artist, but her album sales are decent too considering she only has three full length releases and never had an extremely massive peak like Britney or Gaga.

I'll be generous and add an extra million in case I missed any sales, for a total of 13 million sales. Why has Katy sold so few albums despite having so many hits? For example her peers Rihanna and Gaga have sold over 26 million albums.
