I do drink in general, but in this case in particular i wanted to go in (with some friends) and not drink since i don't have my ID. Anyways, laws are laws I guess.

Yeah the "ID to get into bars even if you aren't gonna drink" is something I've only encountered in the USA. Everywhere else just checks when you're buying drinks (then again, everywhere else has reasonable drinking laws so it isn't really an issue).

I went into a karaoke bar on Bourbon St in New Orleans to worship ghetto people twerking to "Rolling In The Deep". whaT an experience.
