I was expecting the Good Wife snub so I'm not too mad but that Downton Abbey/House of Cards haul is ridiculous. TV is filled with great drama programming everywhere and they decide these shows are worthy of recognition? Over The Americans and Masters of Sex?

House Of Cards was a shoo-in. It's their way of recognizing emerging outlets like Netflix, Hulu etc + the buzz early this year was insane.

Both Downton Abbey and House of Cards are better than The Americans, though. I haven't seen Masters of Sex to comment on that, but still.

The Americans is great but i gave up on the chances of it ever 'happening' in a mainstream sense.
Masters of Sex had episodes with LITERALLY no flaws. It was always a long shot for it to be nominated, though. I'm more surprised that Martin Sheen got snubbed by Jeff Daniels, yet they nominated Lizzy Caplan in a much more competetive category.
Downton Abbey being better than House of Cards is VERY arguable if you compare their current seasons.
