How the hell y'all getting suspended for not standing during the pledge?

It likely depends on the school district, tbh.
You can get suspended for being disruptive, and some schools could use that as an excuse.

It also depends on the teachers.
I had this old one who would get mad if we didn't do it, and told us to leave the class while most young teachers don't care and don't even do it themselves often.
You know how old people are with respect for the country.

Yea my high school was in the middle of nowhere in Arkansas an they forced this Pakistan kid to say it and he just moved to the country.
Why his family chose to live there is beyond me tho...
