My point is that Gaga singles have lately been very scrutinized/polarizing, whereas Rihanna's are generally well-received, with maybe some minor controversy inbetween.
I was mainly just talking about official singles, but yeah NB was controversial as a part of UA. The media didn't make that big a deal about it though, to my knowledge. The Birthday Cake Remix felt a lot more... publicly scrutinized.
It was more the fact that they got back together during Grammy time. Well, Rihanna is the Queen of GP so it is normal even the controversies she creates being seen with a less critic eye.
I just LOVE that Lana came back and served, at the very least, a few very good songs.
And I love that it's only sophisticated-bottom friendly.
It gives me a feeling of freedom and happiness to be able to like her music without gross people being all over it.
"Ultraviolence is TERRIBLE! Give me more Born To Die teassss!"
So so so so happy she cut the cord and now all the horrendous bandwagoners are GONE.
Lana 1-2 punching every negative connotation away.
