I have a question. Why was the "writing" thing included in Nick's speech? Like why was it relevant to make that point? Were people doubting her days before the event?!

To me it seeks like the statement at writing should've have been made early in her career not this far into it but thats none of my business.

Because people always question the legitimacy of female rappers. Iggy and Nicki are just two of the MANY female rappers who are constantly having their legitimacy and talent questioned.

The drama involves a rapper named Ransom -- who famously worked with Nicki in the past on several songs.

Ransom recently released a new song called "Man Alone" which contained the lyric, "Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs, I was doing verses for her, just hoping she made it big."

He implied he wrote verses for her.
