Oh ok. Well then 250,000-300,000 sounds reasonable.

I think Womanizer could sell between 230k-250k the first week.

Danja talks Britney
Quote :
...Then there's a nice chunk of work on Britney Spears' as-yet-untitled album, which he says will be “way harder than Blackout.”
Quote :
...“I like that cinematic sound,” he says. “I got a couple of tracks on Britney's [upcoming album] that sound like action sequences from The Mummy 3 [Tomb of the Dragon Emperor] or something, just bits and pieces of horn hits that make it sound dramatic.

Biggest Competition For 'Womanizer'
As of September 30, 2008:
Whatever You Like - 128.977 M + 193,482 (downloads) = 322.459 (Trend: AI - up, DL - down)
So What - 60.731 M + 189,646 = 250.377 (Trend: AI - up, DL - down)
Love Lockdown - 19.198 M + 188482 = 207.68 (Trend: AI - up, DL - down)
Disturbia - 81.891 M + 112,281 = 194.172 (Trend: AI - up, DL - down)
Paper Planes - 73.12 M + 112702 = 185.822 (Trend: AI - up, DL - down)
Hot N' Cold - 45.639 M + 120719 = 166.358 (Trend: AI - up, DL - up)
Can't Believe It - 102.422 M + 63,484 = 165.906 (Trend: AI - up, DL - down)
Live Your Life - 28.153 M + N.A. = 28.153 (Trend: AI - up, DL - up)
Womanizer - 20 M
Even if the song reaches 40 M in AI (which is already a VERY GENEROUS ESTIMATE) by October 14, 2008 (cut-off), it would still need to sell at least 100,00 more than Whatever You Like to reach No.1.
That will be around 280,000 - 300,000.

I'm not desperate for a number one, really. Just get the Top 3 and that's a bow worthy.
O/T: As cheesy as it was, I ****ing LOVED the Mummy 3. It was entertaining.

Simulation of October 25, 2008 Billboart Hot 100 Chart
* This is the chart issue when 'Womanizer's' first week downloads will be reflected.
1 Whatever You Like = 158 M Audience Impressions + 180,000 DL = 338
2 Live Your Life = 54 M Audience Impressions + 200,000 DL = 254
3 So What = 80 M Audience Impressions + 170,000 DL = 250
4 Love Lockdown = 50 M Audience Impressions + 180,000 = 230
5 Hot N' Cold = 60 M Audience Impressions + 150,000 = 210
6 Paper Planes = 85 M Audience Impressions + 110.000 = 195
* Womanizer = 35 M + 200,000 = 235 = #4 on Billboard Hot 100
So basically she will need to sell around 150k more than T.I.?
She'd need a stellar video premiered and an amazing performance the week before it was released on iTunes to even come 100K off that figure. With only the songs airplay and her name, I expect 300K max.
She might even be hard pressed to reach #2 or even #3 because Live Your Life and So What are still rising.

The full thing..
Quote:
Danja, producer for several tracks off "Blackout" ("Gimme More," "Break The Ice," "Get Naked"), describes a few of the new songs he's worked on with Britney for her 6th studio album "Circus" to Remixmag.com.
"I like that cinematic sound," Danja says. "I got a couple of tracks on Britney's [upcoming album] that sound like action sequences from The Mummy 3 or something, just bits and pieces of horn hits that make it sound dramatic."
"I'm in tune with certain chords that make you feel a certain way," the producer continues. "I know how to grab your emotions. I know what to play in whatever order to bring those feelings forth. This is a universal language. I'm learning how to capture those feelings and inject them into my music. I'm learning how to make you feel what I feel."
As for Danja's thoughts on Circus? "Way harder than Blackout."

She will be #1. I think she'll sell 200,000 - 235,000 downloads in a week.

She will be #1 on itunes, that's a fact.
But we don't know if she will get the number one on billboard hot 100 list.
A top 5 for sure.

I think she'll pull a 230k at least.
either way, WYL won't sell 180k+ for a long time, I think it's already falling.

The Mummy 3 is a big ****ing mess, LOL. Bad acting, awful plot, sad excuse to make money. Thank God Rachel Weisz passed it.
I agree with you about the #1 thing, it's not exactly mandatory for her to have the #1 single now. The album, however, is another story. I don't think it's going to be a 'proper' comeback if she doesn't go back to Billboard 200's top spot.

Please make sure you tell us who's saying that when you post more 'opinions' here. Thank you.
Btw, Jay-Z went from selling 710k in 2006 to 433k in 2007. His charting place is not as guaranteed as it may seem. Britney just needs to promote.
