I would say Brandy is in a better position that Monica. I am not familiar with Monica's music but I sampled a bit once and I'm pretty sure it's dry. I love Brandy's music.

At least it was one of the biggest hits on her main chart that year.

And 44 is higher than 65, and she did it ALONE. "Love All Over Me" charted higher, and that was solo.

Brandy will never get a solo hit on her core format again.
