You can actually put the chorus of one into the other and just sing along normally, it fits 100%

one week, I couldn't any of those songs individually, I would mash them up accidentally and it would take me a minute or two to get back to the original song

I keep expecting her to say "somebody's doing the wrong note" in the middle of the song because I watch the rehearsal performance so much tbh. But uh, I prefer the SNL performance (moreso the rehearsal one) solely because of the whistle register transition in the middle of that one run. That was literally life changing

But honestly, I didn't really like her vocals from this era tbh. A lot of her belts starting from around an E5 sounded full, kind of nasal, and a bit strained. I did like how her voice sounded thicker and huskier, though.

You didn't like her belts on the debut? She's doing effortless Gs and G#5s(All In Your Mind, Sent From Up Above, You Need Me, Alone In Love) in a near PERFECT mix through the whole album. It NEVER sounds like she's straining on those notes compared to 99% of singers which is ridiculous.

But even if it's not strained, it sounds pretty nasal and too full. Like, the F5 in the "SO faithfully" in Vision of Love sounds really nasal in the 1990 performances. That's why Daydream's my favorite vocal era, she belted out those notes like it was nothing. That G5 from Hero is like, religious...

Also, this has been bothering me for a while, but would y'all say Maria's still an A-lister? I wanna say she is, but she's not really getting the attention she used to always have these days...

My friends are always shocked at how quickly I recognize her songs. I called a coworker the other day and he paused for TWO seconds and I was like, "Is that Mariah I hear playing faintly in the background?!?!" And he was like, "I don't know... I'm just listening to the radio." Flop taste.

I swear I subconsciously have mariah on my mind all the time. I can do this same thing. My friends think I'm crazy everytime I stop in the middle of whatever we're doing in public when I hear a mariah song in the distance. The only time it failed was when I heard Baby I and I thought that was mariah's wailing.

Yes I would consider Mariah an A-Lister. People have their eye on her, usually to drag her, but their eye is still on her.
