i dont know if thats true. after crazy in love, there were alot of random basic r&b/pop girls with long bronze hair trying to be fake beyonces. only rihanna survived. and that's because she changed up her style. sos video with the hair fans, shimmying & sh*t. that was bernard's style.
but i agree with you that leotards is not something beyonce popularized.
Its catalog sales are meh compared to other juggernaut sellers. I think Shania has a legacy (albeit small one), but yeah, Taylor is more consistent and has more clout now (it feels that way, at least).
Shania's Greatest Hits killed catalog sales of COO.
But yeah Taylor is bigger in the US. One more era as big as her previous ones and I'd say she's the biggest female artist in the US ever
My fave Bernie imitation. Ironically, she was offered SOS and refused it. Poor Christina. Married to The Dream and she couldnt get an Umbrella or Single Ladies. Poor that! And she was J. Lo's Myah Marie too
Shania had back to back Diamond albums. A Godney tea and she was so big it wasn't even funny. 40 million units sold of 1 album. Like how much catalog sales can an album that sold that much have
Taylor would have 4 back to back diamond albums (and not 'diamond' like Up!'s inflated certification) in a non-digital era market
I only give the edge to Mariah because she dominated way more in the singles department as well as her TEOM comeback. Just one more era as big as her previous ones and she'll probably dethrone Mariah tho
not you posting a 10,000 foot scroll as your receipt

beyonce has been doing the same thing in regards to her performances for ages now. ain't nobody copying her played out mess in 2014. leotards may have been re-popularized by Gagz and Bey for a little bit, but everyone has moved on. like i said before, none of these new artists are doing that.

oh yes, i definitely agree with the first part. beyonce had a lot of impact earlier in her career. but they wanted receipts of people who were still relevant, so i didn't include the random girls that faded after their first or second era.

Well Dark Side of the Moon has much better catalog sales.

Beyonce is a Diana/Tina tribute act. It doesn't have a style.
