I doubt this whole surprise release thing is true, but it's very possible. Paul Moss said that XL Recordings had originally stated a 2014 release, but then registered the album two weeks ago and said anytime from now 'till June 2015 with a probable January 2015 release. The registration date and the date this news hit headlines is only two weeks off, and XL has thrown out a few dates so far. I'm praying Adele doesn't pull a Beyoncé, but if anyone could do it and get away with it, it would probably be her. But I need to be prepared for when it comes, plus I don't want her to be accused of copying Beyoncé, nor do I want her sales to be affected by an iTunes-exclusive release. I know she has the best-selling digital album of all-time and whatever, but she has such a huge demographic ranging from all different ages, and some of them don't have iTunes or an iPod, like my grandpa, and want the physical CD.
