..Gaga's songs were way bigger hits, locally or globally

BOMT is the only one of those singles that were as big as Gaga's hits. The rest performed pretty average. There's a reason there's only 1 Britney song from her peak, and 4 Gaga songs from Gaga's peak, in the global all time chart

1) 38m is still less than 60m - even if you only count Brit's first two years it's 54m for BOMT+OIDIA (ignore Kworb his low estimate)

2) Present tours are in no way comparable to past ones. The touring market has drastically changed, especially for pop acts - at one point Madonna grossing $60m was considered incredible and unprecedented for a female pop act, and scoring $100m in the early 2000's was nearly unheard of.

I find it funny how Gaga stans have no trouble comparing singles and tours that are 10 years apart yet they flip whenever someone compares their album sales. The double standards.

Poker Face: 7.1M = 710,000 albums sold
LoveGame: 2.6M = 260,000 albums sold
Paparazzi: 3.4M = 340,000 albums sold

Britney Spears:

Even if we compare what Gaga's sales would have looked like if she came around in 1999, we can see that she wouldn't even have been half as big as Britney was.

If we are comparing their first headlining tour, then Gaga's should be THE FAME BALL right which made $3.15 M with 70 shows VS BOMT Tour $35 M with 56 shows.
