I thought this was strange too... But then I thought about it logically. Read what it says:
"Hey, Andrea," the singer called. "Come over here. We're day-drinking!"
I'm guessing there would have been a decent amount of people in the room if it was for a magazine shoot. Lots of extras floating around. When she "calls" and tells her to "come over here", I'm going to assume this would imply that Andrea was on the other side of the room.
If there are a lot of people around, and your mum is a decent distance away, do you call out mum? I know I don't - since usually a lot of people will turn around, even if their kid isn't around - it is just motherly instincts. But if you call out HER name, you know she'll be the only one to look.
Make sense?
I always call "Mom" or "Dad" when calling out to my parents. Even in rooms filled with people.
Is it not rude to call your parents by their first name?
I wouldn't call it rude but it's a bit strange. I couldn't imagine calling my mom by her first name. It depends on your relationship with your mom I guess. But I've always thought she called her parents "mom" and "Dad" so

Agreed.. I do this with my parents too. It's like you scream out "Mom" and no one in the room turns around cause it's so loud/you may not hear who's calling you. And it's not rude in this situation.. If you went around calling your parents by their first names all the time, then yes a little.. But it also depends on the relationship.. I'll call my parents by their first names in a weird voice or something.. Nothing disrespectful
She was clearly being playful, y'all are doing the most.
Yes! She is being playful. It's like if you have a friend and you call him a 'big jerk' but you are just playing along. You don't really mean it. It is just playing. Just like when kids playfight (they are not really fighting). So really, there is no disrespect.
