Arrogance and pretentiousness are both results of someone feeling highly of themselves. DJWS is both arrogant as pretentious (he claimed that it would be easy to recreate another Just Dance but Gaga is past that stage LOL), so is Gaga by the way. Both overrate their talents. I mean, you have to really be up in Gaga and DJWS their asses to deny this.

JoliesProlapse is both arrogant AND pretentious (he claims to know what will fix Gaga's career LOL). He overrates his little manager skills. I think people lay way too much blame on Gaga's producers.

Obviously they're integral to how the song sounds and whether it's on trend or not sonically, but ultimately a songs fate lies in the writing. And that's what needs addressing.

Gaga is a fantastic songwriter, but it's an ask of even the best in the business to deliver flawlessly consistent content...and she's putting that pressure on herself by not involving experienced writers to help. DJWS, Zedd, Madeon and Fernando bring minimal pop writing knowledge to the table. Not to say they haven't helped create great material, but Gaga is likely carrying them and they do not act as an efficient enough filter.

Whether she admits it or not, she's a commercial popstar who (if she wants to continue) has to deliver products that consumers want...and working with people who understand how to create that product is going to make the process so much easier. At the moment she's like a start-up company who got lucky selling something great, landed itself amongst the big boy corporations and wants to stay there, but thinks it's above all that and is now struggling to maintain because it's still being run by a bunch of inexperienced friends. If she wants to downsize to a more manageable level, that's awesome, but don't think you can run a global corporation from your garage, Gaga.

Working with songwriters (not young DJ producers who have, on occasion, written a decent hook) will help bring a creative dialogue and challenge her to push much further. They'll also help her evolve her sound.

Let's not forget Turn Down For What which peaked at the same position as Applause on the Billboard Hot 100 (hitmaker) in 2014 (current) and has a sick beat, something which Paul has not achieved on his own! Imagine ratchet Gaga slurring over this
