I'm sorry but L. A. Reid is wrong for doing that, dead is dead and you should just let them rest in peace, like EMI/Virgin didn't do anything about Selena after her unexpected death.
I can see the desperation, because they don't want to turn into Blackground Entertainment, so now L. A. is planning a collaboration for Justin Bieber to record on a song with MJ.
Its very upsetting that the GP is ignoring this, but Epic only had four hits last year (Brave by Sara Bareilles, Say Something by AGBW, Body Party

, and luckily for Avril Lavigne, Here's to never Growing Up)
So now they're over promoting Michael, by a performance at the BBMA's, and car commercials. They just recently let Cher Lloyds new record FLOP
Epic wouldn't have been a close to dead label if Rob Stringer didn't hire Amanda Ghost, to run Epic and kept Columbia/Epic Label Group together. It wasn't only Epic that was cursed by Ghost, Columbia as well because at the time they were under the label group.
Some people are right that Epic should just be merged into Columbia, but I guess SME, didn't really put an effort to care about the label, all they did was eliminate Ghost and hired another chairman.
So I do see the desperation from L. A. and he should step down and let Sylvia Rhone take over.
They were so desperate, they were around the corner in signing Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. But they stayed with ADA /WBR.
