Thing was I think they were really trying to milk Carrie that era and show her as a songwriter too. So they rush released it. Not that it was a bad thing since "Last Name" did win a Grammy.
Did you go to HQ to get a help request or something like that?
Love the groundbreaking Last Name! Carrie brought feminism into the country scene !
I remember I made a thread about how Carrie wants more females in country music and I got a reply saying Carrie needs to stop talking and actually act it out.
Yet Carrie's been the country feminist since her debut era trying to get their songs played.

She should've chosen a female opening act for the BA tour (although that does mean I never would've noticed Hunter... The dilemma!)
OMG looking back at the charts, See You Again was Robbed of the Billboard #1. To Keith Urban of all people
Two Black Cadillacs against Blake Shelton's lead single tho, poor Carrie didn't stand a chance aside from some quick Spins that her record label might extend to her
I think it ends too abruptly. They could of done so much more with this song if it was developed a bit more but it works as a fun summer song which is what I think Miranda wanted.
I can't wait to see the video which is suppose to come out in a couple of weeks
Completely agree with everything you said.
It is my summer JAM
And I can't wait for the music video. I love the emphasis Carrie puts on some of her words like "Oyleans" and "where you headed to next" will surely make for a cute music video
