Partly, the production of the strings on BTD is gigantic good, the other instruments, synths and Trip Hop beats are questionable. Her vocals are great.
Like at all great productions since Frank Sinatra they use the Neumann microphone, famous for the reverb.

For Ultra, I have no doubt, it is musically more ambitious but they used a handheld micro with less reverb.
