The production is pop-rock, ok, maybe there's a slight alternative influence in the beginning, but not enough to call the song alternative pop. A pop song with prominent alternative influences from a pop girl would be Holy Ground by Taylor. It's produced by Jeff Bhasker who has produced a lot of alternative pop tracks for Fun. You should check it out.
