I am the least photogenic person on earth. People react positively to me IRL and then I turn my camera on and I look like the most hideous person to ever exist it doesn't make any sense

I remember during my student teaching I was actually very lenient with letting students have their cell phones out, and let them check them occasionally.

My line in the sand was games and selfies though. If you did that I took your phone.



The wailing and gnashing of teeth every time I took a phone away. You would have thought I was some horrible villain for taking away a cell phone when school policy states NO cell phones at all. One kid went to far as the claim that I was violating his civil rights (he was 100% serious).

It's all about knowing where to start! The first run I ever did was only 7 minutes long and I called my mom to pick me up because I couldn't make it back...It's just important to start off easy and build yourself into longer distances. There are all manners of training programs online; my advice would be to google "how to train for a 5k" and then use one of those schedules. Run a local 5k and see how running does for you! It can be really fun!
