Jordin hasn't been around long enough to get a grammy nomination and im sure she'll get at least 1 nomination next year  PLUS at the MTV Music awards on sunday, Jordin has the most nominations from an American Idol's debut album!! But NO AIR is (as of next week) THE MOST sucessful digital american idol song song and may be the most sucessful in airplay!!!!!!!!! Not even Kelly (who is in my Top 5 fav artists) could get 2 million!
AND from what i've heard Jordins 2nd album is gonna be FANTASTIC. rumoured collaborations include: Timbaland, Jonas Brothers, Alicia Keys(apperantly she wrote a song w/ her), Jesse McCartney, Blake lewis, and Beyonce  !! |
Don't get me wrong. I was not trying to be rude up there. I say "
if she's not going to get the awards ...", so if she could get it, it's good. I know her second album will debut better with a huger fan base and everyone is anticipated to listen to the new pieces of art.
Jordin's album gets little help from her singles, really! Even the last boost was only when "No Air" video was released, then it dropped again. Album sales in 2008 is dropping hell lots, but Jordin's album is always forever below top 40 (with a few weeks above!)
Digital sale has grown faster and faster, 2005 only two songs can surpass 1 mil mark, 2006 is 20 over and 2007 is 40 over. So obviously Jordin has an advantage here, since Kelly's great songs mostly are from her 2nd album.
She might be the best in the long run. Time will tell. What i said in previous post is :
she won't be the most successful AI alumni after her 2nd album.
Anyway, I'm not sure if anything can resurrect Jordin's album, and Permanent Monday will definitely be the final nail in its coffin.
