Whatever number she pulls it's gonna be great, she's not gonna 'flop' for pop standards... I'd be happier to see the album selling well in an year, having longevity and metacrtitic score of 80+....
I actually think she can get that #1.
With all the respect to LP and SS, I think Lana appeals more to the major gp + SS is a one hit wonder so far.

He's a dark horse, he can either pull big numbers because of his 3 singles out (Latch, La La La and Stay with Me) which are high on iTunes or... the GP won't care about the album and will be buying just the songs...

When it comes to the likes of Sam Smith we cant expect anything tbh. And right he is the dark horse. I am 100% sure that Lana has a much bigger fanbase compared to his almost non-existent one, but we dont know if the GP will buy his albums or not.. and its not like the GP dont love Lana.

I feel like Sam is an album seller as for example, Stay With Me is so far No. 28 on Swiss charts but the album debuted at No.3. Lana however is also an album seller as we see with BTD still selling very well! So anything could happen.

It'll be a very exciting release week as Lana, Sam, Linkin Park, J.Lo and deadmau5, all relatively big, are releasing the same week!
