The only thing I can think of that would have restricted her is the surgery she had to remove her wisdom teeth (this was done around April 17), plus rehearsals for the tour of course. However, she was probably better by the time the iHeartRadio Music Awards rolled by (May 1), since the tour started three days later and she was all healed by then (or so it seemed at least). She could have also performed the song on smaller spots such as Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, and other shows prior to the surgery. This song just had so much potential and it saddens me that it seems like they didn't even try to make it a hit.
On the bright side, though, the video has an exceptional amount of views for a song that only peaked at #76 on the Hot 100. It has 45,865,765 views on VEVO (plus the 11,440,125 views for the shorter, G.U.Y. only version, for a grand total of 57,305,890 views)!
