It actually does matter what your demographic is. Releasing a few songs experimenting with different genre's doesn't change what group of people are your major supporters It may help to expand that group of people more but Nicki Minaj is not about to BOOK the crowd at an EDM festival just becuse she's released a couple EDM inspired tracks.
