Honestly, that interviewer didn't know a stadium form an arena. They would have meant the same thing to her.
And even if the point of that thread "was to show that Katy herself thinks she isn't THAT big" why show it at all? How is that a point? It's a video that her stans would have already seen because they stan for her and enjoy watching her interviews. People were just trying to figure out what you implying by posting it, specifically when you highlighted that one section of the video. And because you are a Gaga stan it became incredibly transparent that when you asked "is she implying that other artists who are doing Stadium shows are bigger than she is?" you were essentially looking for more validation to support your own biased opinions that Gaga is bigger than Katy, because she's performed in a stadium before.
That doesn't address my point though. Even if you're right and she was implying that artists who perform in stadiums are bigger than she is, that's incredibly endearing that she's so modest and humble when she's one of the biggest pop stars in the world right now. And your use of the word "even" to say "
even she thinks she's not that big" implies that you're searching for tools to justify an answer you've already decided on. You're actually looking for things to invalidate her success and make her look as if she isn't big.
You seem to cherry-pick receipts that work in your favour. A KatyCat who was looking for an argument could just as easily say The Prismatic Tour has sold 107 dates while the artRave has sold 77 dates. And yes, you could say Gaga has performed in a stadium before and Katy hasn't. But how would performing in a stadium make Katy Perry any bigger? Would it make more of her songs go to #1? Would it somehow make you and I more aware of who she is? Would it make more people aware of who she is? Would it make her Prismatic tour more successful? Would it make her one of the biggest pop stars on the face of planet earth, as if she already weren't?
No. It would just mean she would perform at a larger venue one night, catering to roughly 2-3 times as many people as she usually would, for maybe 2 hours. 2 hours where neither you nor I would even be there.
