how unfortunate, she was average at best.
but exactly not her music.
She was the best and you can keep seething, the world agrees with me. Mariahs music was never viewed as the best, don't act like she was so critically acclaimed when most of her albums were in the 50s and mid 60s just like Britney's (except Britney never had a score as low as 43). If you are judging by sales then that applies to my fave as well so it's a moot point
I told my mom "oh look, another video with a straight cis guy playing a trans woman" and then said it looked like a straight guys' lame interpretation of LGBT culture and she is still mad at me for saying that.
The only reason critics exist anymore is us. the Forum people who use their reviews as receipts. You want to tell me that if you like a song but Pitchfork gives it a bad review you wont buy it?
No, I don't care that much about critics. But I still think it's important. I'm sick of y'all acting like these things are designed for "forum people" though, that's not true
Nah, she received the Diamond Award (for selling over 100 million ALBUMS) in 2003 and also the Millennium award in 2000. (Only God and MJ have received that award)

They kind of are tho.
The average person probably doesn't know half of these magazines that are cited on metacritic, and if they do, they probably don't read their music reviews.
Reviews are essentially for people who care more about music than the average perosn, wheteher they are on a forum or not
