Yeah, that song has a lot of details to it that you'd have to pay close attention to. A lot of people like to call a bunch of these productions simplistic but they really have no idea what they're hearing.

Um... I'm not sure. It sucks that it had to end up like this but it was the right choice and yeah, we both decided... But he kinda said it was up to me. So now I feel like he's upset with me

I don't wanna make you feel bad but in my experience, especially when I say it, It usually means that I want you to stay and that I don't want things to end so he might be a bit upset with you. It's usually something that's said to see how the other reacts and if they truly care to try and keep things going.
