I guess you all wanted a dance uptempo number but those tracks are songs that turn into hits for a moment and add nothing to someone's career except another top 5 single.
This song however discusses a very important matter which a lot of people are going through, it will be an anthem for them and therefore the song's success will live on forever. This will be her signature song, just mark my words. It has a very intruiging sound.
The fact that she made me speak like this speaks volumes, cause Nicki isn't an artist I listen to normally but this particular song definitely made an impact. I think people like me will view her in a different way.
I don't get how people say this isn't a summer song. Not every summer song has to be filled with basss drops etc. I'm listening at the moment, the sun's shining outside. It's such a vulnerable, emotional summer song. This could do good. Every year there's always that big EDM hit, and that slow summer smash.

How can anyone dislike this though? it has a good theme and lyrics, a catchy hook and experimental production. Give Nicki a break, she can't please everyone as we all know.
