Tao is really my favorite EXO member now. I didn't even know all their names until the scandal, but the way he is angrily behaving makes me want to stan a bit.
I know I would react the same way. He will never let go of Kris scalp, it's his territorry. I love this.

Was Kris actually not in the Wolf MV? I don't really get the situation anymore, he's gone and that's that.

He was the most mediocre member so the fact you are acting like this is a betrayal, I would be screaming Hallejuah, get that lazy **** outta here.

You will not.
To be fair, he is one of the most likeable members, is king of fashion controversy, a Regina George impersonator and he's useful for when EXO have abroad press conferences with Billboard, for example.

Not when he's being a little bitch, abandoning EXO and their fan base 10 days before their solo concert.
Besides, any Big Bang member would discuss it with the other members beforehand. Kris was a deceptive pussay and went behind his members backs for a surprise attack, not to mention he's giving his adoptive company permission to slate the other members, it's revolting. He doesn't deserve any form of positiveness for his move(s).

Nah I think the problem is the timing. EXO is a new band, they are not cemented yet, specially in China. Kris leaving in the middle of promotions and just before their concert (would be their first?) is very irresponsible of him. Even more because he was the leader of M.
Also in the EXO-M front, it will be much more difficult to succeed in China now because some chinese sites are bashing the other chinese Exo members already and also Sment. Not to mention the korean members, they will have it much harder. It's unclear how they will bounce back on China now. That's why I totally get Tao's frustration.

Would SM consider disbanding EXO-M? Their popularity in China is nose-diving and I think EXO-K could exist on their own in Korea. Losing a leader in the group is a massive blow.
I feel bad for EXO-M even though I'm not a fan. Kris stitched them up and left them all in a messy situation.

As long as Xiumin, Chen and Lay get their own group, or are cleverly integrated into EXO-K to make a true male SNSD. Or something, ****. I'm kinda here for M's disbandment but only if those three get a fair treatment.

Doubt it, it would be pointless. Even if they're nose-diving in China (?), they're still outselling others in Korea. If SM really cared so much about their statuses in China, he could ditch the K/M sub-units and keep them solidified as an 11 for all promotions. Either way though, I doubt that'll happen too.

It'd be easy to throw Chen and Xiumin in K and disband the other to have an 8-piece Korean group, but the other three are fairly talented and disbanding them would look bad again on SM's part.

I don't think they'd disband EXO-M, but in all honesty once this OD era is over I think there's definitely gonna be a large possibility that they'll just promote as one 11-member group from then on. I mean their biggest hit Growl was as a single group and obvi SuJu aren't doing it anymore so they may as well combine their talents and fill the void SuJu have left.

I'd rather them just promote as OT11 and ditch the K and M concept entirely, was never a fan of it anyway.
This whole situation may well turn out to be a blessing in disguise. The possible dissolving of the K and M subunits, no one running away and holding back promotions, stronger relationships between members, tighter synchronization, etc.
I'm ready for OT11 tbh.

Well I'd be here for M being disbanded, with Kris gone, is China really going to be here for M when the number of Chinese members has fallen. Those three you mentioned could fit into EXO-K and they could just drop the unit name and perform as EXO.

EXO-M was SM trying to increase his reach in China, but it's going to struggle now with this Kris mess. They also tried with SM The Ballad but I don't know why they want the Chinese market so bad. IMO Europe would be much more lucrative if they get a successful act there.

I guess but to me 11 members seems too messy on stage. They could just drop the filler members (i.e. Suho, Tao) and promote as a 9 member group.

I assume they'll be promoting as an 11 for the rest of the year anyway with the tour, a probable second full album and an impending Japanese debut. I think it's a smart idea.

What is wrong with some of you? Idols are not toys, they can't just be disposed of.
EXO should just keep promoting as an 11 member group, M could even keep going with 5 members if SM saw fit. I don't see what the problem is.
The worst thing they could do is add a new member.
Never ends well.

I feel like this is the motto of Korean pop music companies.
I agree with the rest though, and while I think it would be better to promote as OT11, it would also be fine to keep K6 and M5 separate.

Sis this is the nature of the Idol industry though. It's shady as hell and they are worked to death and forced into contracts governing their lives. If SM decides he doesn't want them any more, they will get trashed.
Look at f(x). They had a slow start and because of that SM lost interest and has hardly promoted them. He only seems to remember that Krystal exists and keeps promoting the hell out of her even though she's like a zombie on stage. I mean he even put her in SM The Ballad?
New members isn't really SM's style. I remember that one time when Tiffany was having her "issues" they brought some random to replace her during a Genie performance. It doesn't work out.
