I still stand by my original opinion of this video. Beyonce does not seem super upset or surprised by Solange's behavior. In fact she let's Solange go OFF on the father of her child and husband of 5/6 years and doesn't even react. This has to be somewhat normal/routine for them. Jay ****ed up big time (that night was the final straw re: something that's been cumulating for months OR something big happened) and Solange wasn't having it. They all walked in that elevator anticipating that someone would pop off. That's not normal, sorry to say. Whatever the issue is I hope they're able to work it out. They can stay quiet all they want to but people will draw conclusions regardless.

I also hope they don't throw Solange under the bus because that would be really sad and cruel

Yeup.

Solange's violent thuggery makes Beyonce look like the peaceful one but I'm not entirely convinced of that. Bey's behavior was strange and bizarre.

If two important people in my life are fighting under my nose or if one of them physically abuses the other, I immediately intervene and try to separate them at least. What I DON'T do is bizarrely stand there pretending as if I am a stranger passing by. If I don't separate them it possibly means I secretly agree with the violence that is going on.

My theory:

Solange was probably drunk. Jay told her to keep herself classy because the event was class. He probably insulted her low key or maybe even harshly. Their verbal argument escalated to a drunken Solange physically attacking Jay.

Beyoncé was probably so fed up and so infuriated at that point that she chose not to get heavily involved, but she clearly got in the way of them. She turned to Jay and maybe told him not to provoke Solange.

Beyoncé got into the car with Solange because that was clearly the original plan for them all to ride together, but Jay was told to go into the other car.
