You have freedom to write whatever you want, but you have to write with 140 words or less… it's a challenge to use only what's necessary…

I wrote 3 hooks and chose the best one and ran with it. I just finished and I'm really proud of it. It's exactly 140 words and isn't what I was expecting to write about at all. It's dark but in a sad way more than an angry way which is weird for me. I still want someone to look at it though to make sure it's OK before I submit prematurely.

Edit: yes, I know it's been less than 2 hours since we got the challenge but I got majorly inspired this week

My song has two verses, a bridge, and two chorus + an outro and all fit in 140 characters. It's restricting but not incredibly difficult (although it's only 2:30 long as opposed to my usual 4 minute songs)

We Found Love is over 200 words But this doesn't seem that hard. It does strike me as a challenge where having the actual music/song would be beneficial, since some choruses have like 5 words, but the way they are dragged out make it seem less short, you know? Like Taylor Swift's "State of Grace"

And I'll never be the same

Such a great song, but that chorus is so short!

If you count every word, yes. But, going by my guidelines, it only amounts to 108 words… Repeat Chorus / Repeat Pre-Chorus really makes it easier than you guys are making it…

! I read: "Yes, if it's there twice, I count it twice" as "if it's in the song," not as "if it's typed out." Now I get it!
