I don't know why members here allow a couple of Germans to dictate how many units their faves have sold.
It's quite sad really.

ESTIMATES:
Japan
Born This Way = 750K
MX = 150K
= 600K difference
US
BTW = 2.2M
MX = 1.7
= 500K difference
= 1,100,000
EUROPE
BTW = 1.8 Million? Is this real anyways let's use this
MX = 3 Million
= 1,200,000
100K MORE for Mylo Xyloto and I didn't even BLOAT those sales, just flat out 3M because of the 3X Certification. I'm pretty sure MX is at 3.5M in Europe now but whatevs. 3M and it still wins
Poor that.

so you edited your post just to make it look you are right In the post I qouted you didn't even say that.
And FYI that 1.7M in the US is only my estimate !
Official numbers :
2011 : 1,006,352
http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopi...284&start=1175
2012 : 512,189
http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopi...7406&start=675
So in 2011 and in 2012 it sold 1,500,000 copies in the US. There is no proof it sold additional 200,000 copies in 2013 and 2014., that was my estimate !

What's kinda sad is that the OP uses Mediatraffic sales for the other albums while uses an "estimation" of other sources for Born This Way.
That's unfair.

Where the **** did that number come from?
Your own estimate?
Okay, I can play that game too.
Considering Born This Way sold 2434325235 million copies you are incorrect.

Shut up. I did NOT edit my post.
Ok since you used an estimate for BTW at 1.8 Million, I'd use MY estimate of MX at 3.5 Million
Which MEANS that MX still outsold BTW for 400K

We have IFPI. We really can't take word from labels since not all labels give out numbers.
It'd be unfair to pit label numbers to mediatraffic since we all know Labels have more accurate sales.
IFPI doesn't give us a weekly chart so I think Mediatraffic is our best bet on sales.

Teenage Dream defiantly sold more than Born This Way, and Katy didn't have to dedicate the whole album to homosexuals for sales. also it's more remembered since it's currently #968 & #1137 while BTW is nowhere to be found on iTunes.

I'm sorry but this list will go on and on and MX will keep on toppling BTW's sales.
We get it, Gaga was bigger in Asia andslightly the US but Coldplay is definitely bigger in Europe and Australia/Ocenia/South America

Idk how many times people have to be told that mediatraffic is 31 countries only and is based on reports and estimations.
Check the mediatraffic site, it states that it's unofficial.

And I agree with everything you said.

Born This Way sold over 60,000 in Mexico.
NZ is a small country. BTW 15,000 copies, MX 45,000. Only 30,000 difference !!
And who is MX bigger in Oceania when it sold as much as BTW sold in Australia.
Who wil MX keep on toppling BTW's sales when I posted receipts that it outsold it in most of the countries

Labels always use shipments in their reports because shipments=sales to retailers for them Except that shipments can be returned after some time.
Anyway BTW sales were quite huge and I think that not many albums will outsell it
