Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know that you shouldn't worry about me, but I may be missing from or not as active on the base for a couple of days. My mom was hospitalized tonight and I don't know why. All we know is that she got sick at work, felt dizzy, and couldn't see and so they had to call an ambulance. We don't know much, but I have to stay at home to take care of my sister and dog and so I may be a little tied up for the next couple of days, but please just keep my mom in your prayers! Thank you guys so much!

Thank you guys all so much! That means the world to me! Thankfully, she's already home and it turns out she has Vertigo. It's sad that she has it but thankfully it's not anything fatal and she may never experience any symptoms of it again. Hopefully if she takes the medication for it she'll be fine! Thank you guys for your support! It really means a lot to me! You guys are the best!

My aunt has vertigo, it's definitely scary but manageable  . Glad she's home and on the mend !!!

Yeah, my friend's dad also has Vertigo and I know it must be a really tough thing to go through. At times I wondered if I had it because I remember once on New Year's Eve Day, I was up and getting ready to go to a party that night with my best friends, and I was taking a shower and all of a sudden my vision got blurry and it started to black out. I was really hot and thirsty, and I felt nauseous. I was terrified. I was home alone with my sister, who was upstairs and couldn't hear, so I had to run to my pantry (I didn't even have time to put clothes on so I had to wrap my towel around me), which was thankfully right near my bathroom, and grab a water because I thought I might be getting dehydrated. Then I wondered maybe I was sick, or maybe I had Vertigo. I chugged down the water and I still felt nauseous and called my sister down just in case I ended up getting sick. I sat down for a few minutes and just kind of closed my eyes. Once I felt I had the energy to get up at least, about five minutes later, I hurried into the bathroom and put on clothes and then I went and drank down another bottle of water and fell asleep in my bed for about 20 minutes and then when I woke up, I felt fine.
It was one of the scariest moments of my life, though, I wasn't sure what was happening, so I can understand how scary it must have been for my mom. Luckily, she told her friend at work as soon as she started to feel sick and her friend offered to drive her home, but one of the other girls at the office forced her into a chair because she was as white as a ghost and feared that she might pass out. And my mom described the feelings she was going through, and it was even worse for her because she was embarrassed that the entire office had gathered around her "to watch her puke", as she says, because they were so concerned about her, and she felt like she was preventing everyone from doing her work. Luckily, though, my dad showed up and the people at the office got an ambulance for her and she's doing much better now. Vertigo is a scary thing, but I'm very thankful that it's not fatal and that it can be managed. Thank you so much for your support... and for taking the time to read this incredibly long comment.
