THE WHITE WALKERS. I don't even like them that much in the books but they SLAYYYYYYED!

And they NAILED Jaime after last week's fiasco. His scenes with Brienne, Tyrion, and even Cersei were perfect. Sometimes I forget how amazing an actor Niklaj is since he's on a show with Peter, Lena, Maisie, Charles, Emilia, Dianna, Natalie, etc etc.

Bran needs to be minimized as much as possible though, he's so ****ing boring.

Edit: And I forgot to mention this last week, but I am LOVING the new Daario. I done shipped Jon/Dany for years, but I don't know... I kind of want Dany to just stay in Meereen and rule and be happy with him and just be goddesslike in general.

**** MY LIFE THAT WAS NAHT IN THE BOOKS!!!!!!!! i was puddy on the floor in that last scene with the baby's eyes..!!! they're doing Whitewalkers right.. OH MY GOD!! i was slayed.

Dany's taking of the meereen!!! they did it less dramatically but i loved it nonetheless!!

but after that, the 4 scenes moving from Jamie-Bronn, Jamie-Tyrion, Sansa-Petyr, Olenna-Margaery ... the careful ****ING FLAWLESS revelation of joffery's poisoning!! they naiiiiillllled it!!!

and then Margaery's scene with Tommen.. 1. i would have taken margaery so hard right there if i was tommen.. she was so so hot!! 2. ser pounce 3. i am liking the new tommen, glad they showed him a lil older than in the books..

Locke on the wall.. hmmmm, is that Ramsay's plan in motion in some way.. i thought they were going to Moat Cailin!

Jamie-Brienne-Podrick was so beautiful!! they gave jamie and brienne a great goodbye!

Beyond the wall.. they have changed Bran's story completely. i am pissed off cuz i think they're gonna have Jon and Bran meet and that ****ing sucks! the beauty of the story IS the fact that the starks never meet each other again! -.-
but the closing scene with the whitewalkers was LIFFFFEEE!!!
i wonder if that whitewalker in the end who turned the baby will have anything to do with coldhands or the three-eyed raven.

The 10th episode title and tonight's last scene is making me wonder exactly how much George has told them about the end game. Because the only group I know called by the name children in the novels are The Children of the Forest, the ones who helped defeat the White Walkers, originally. It's a stretch, but what if in Book 6 and 7 they come out of hiding to help defeat the white walkers again?

It's a theory but if I'm right, I'm not here for Book 6 and 7 material THAT important being shown so early in the show. George needs to sit his ass down and WRITE. It's absolutely possible for this book to be out by December. But since he has no deadlines, like other writers on contract do, he can basically write as slow as he wants and release the book whenever. Which is bs but that's another conversation.

i wish i could talk about this more freely in the book thread.. but since you brought the topic here.

"the children" in the 10th episode DEFINITELY mean the children of the forest. i think its gonna be about Bran going to meet the 3 eyed raven and the children of the forest.
and there is no passage in the books which states that Children of the forest helped defeat the whitewalkers.. iirc

i think they showed this scene today with the baby to introduce us to teh children of the forest. i am a strong supporter of the theory that the three eyed raven and the children of the forest are in the same leagues as the white walkers.
when GRRM says we'll go further north in the land of always winter in book 6, i think it'll be through Bran because Bran is going to end up fighting for the side of the whitewalkers. but that doesnt necessarily mean that the Whitewalkers are villains. in the Song of Ice and Fire, as Melissandre says.. there are two gods. The lord of light, and The Other.. God of darkness! this is more believable than any other Godly story in the books cuz we have been given the proof of both of these gods(R'hllor bringing back people from death, Bran with the weirwood trees and the warging)

i think Children of the Forest come from these human/whitewalker babies. The "Old Gods".. the gods of the winter.. were cut down in the south, but they prevailed in the north.
Children of the forest were overrun by the first men when they came to westeros. when the whitewalkers raid the wall and attempt to come south.. IMO, its only the Children Of The Forest, taking help from the gods of winter (Whitewalkers = Ice; as Dragons=Fire ) to reclaim the land of westeros which was originally their own.
the whitewalkers cant be mere zombies or monsters if they have been hyped as the biggest thing, almost apocalypse, in all of the series. plus its called The Song of Ice and Fire. i think the Lord of winter and Lord of Light are the titular charachters, with Dragons/fire and Whitewalkers/ice being their weapons. also explainiing why Whitewalkers are vulnerable to Dragonbone.


i think today's episode's ending was the closest thing we've had to a major bigger picture revelation. and they are just setting up the future story early on, which GRRM has waited to do till book 6.

This is from the ASOIAF wiki. They have extensive histories that may or may not have been in the books.

yeah i googled it immediately after posting my long ass post! :P apparantly children of the forest did help the first men to overthrow the WW back north

but i am sticking with my theory anyways things could have changed over the thousands of years. plus i am so in love with my theory.. someone fighting for the WWs.. cuz as GRRM repeatedly keeps assuring people.. WWs arent zombies, they're just a whole different species of beings.

Margery is so hot it's unfair.

Queen Ollena She's one of my favorite characters.

And Queen Dany taking over Mereen She needs more screen time though. Im not satisfied with the 4 minutes she gets each episode.

I don't know if I loved the episode or hated it

If felt like Dany taking Mereen was such a flop, it was only a flashback in the book and they could have done some massive battle lasting 2 episodes (they need to drag her storylines out, they could finish her book 5 plot by the end of this season ) but they didn't they did some ***** footing around and it last 5 damn minutes

Olenna revealing she killed jofferey was amazing, done perfectly, gutted that she's left now though Maergery and tommen too

Why did they feel the need to have Brans whole group hearing the baby and getting captured, i can understand some deviation from the books, but surely if Jon is going to kill everyone at Crasters they're bound to meet and then surely they're bound to meet and Jon wouldn't let him go any further Plus Sam had met him and didn't even tell Jon he was still alive

The ending was really cool though, I love that we're seeing the walkers and so far north they should do that with other parts of the show.

It's not surprising considering a lot is set to happen at the wall over the next few episodes

The willing attacks
Stannis arriving at the wall with his army, defeating the wildlings
them allowing the wildlings through

But I honestly don't get why they didn't have a proper battle for Dany, I imagine for the rest of the season she'll probably be in every other episode, and even then it'll be progressing really quickly with her storyline

I'm so confused by the last scene. I'm also unsure about how they are going to move ahead with both Bran and Jon's storyline now that it looks like they'll meet up again. That's a major change.

This episode was so...strange. Felt like a different show somewhat.
