I highly doubt it's as simple as we make it out to be - if it was, things would be different. It's not like these successful industry suits have their thumbs up their arses, just waiting for an idealistic young fan who can type out a list of major promo platforms on a forum to sweep in and save the day.

I know, I know. But it's just so frustrating to see such "professionals" screwing up over and over. Not even just with Gaga, but over and over and over again in pop music. I feel like a bunch of them are either stuck in the past regarding the industry, too afraid to pull off the tiniest risks, or just too lazy. Like, how often can y'all **** up? Looking at Epic records + their roster of potential hit artists makes me so mad. I know there's tons of things BTS that we don't know about, but I'm talking about the basics.
Like, for Ciara's "Overdose" (which almost everyone agrees could've smashed). How do you send it to radio and leave it at that? Especially when the artist at hand has nearly 0 momentum? It only got "promoted" with one performance, at the Grammys after-party, which doesn't even count. They didn't even film a music video. It's so stupid. I hate it. UGH.
