I think they are aiming for a song from the album to get nominations in best pop vocal perfomance (or somthing like that), song of the year and record of the year.

As much as I love Blow, even if it becomes a hit, GRAMMY's would never give an award to a song so sexual.

They expect PH to be a stronger competitor if it smashs cause GRAMMYS love to reward successful songs with a strong and beautiful message.

Absolutely! Beyonce and her team are aiming for bigger things and they know exactly that winning Grammys gives the album an extraordinary push. Just take a look what it's done to Lorde or Daft Punk. They know this song has the potential to be a serious contender for most of the pop categories, so thats why they released it now. Perfect, if u ask me.

I agree a the video is actually VOTY material at the VMAs but obviously that largely depends on its success on the charts. Also if she were to perform this at an award show, DrIL may do well in urban categories at the grammys but it wont even be nominated in the general fields whereas PH has a shot, again depending on its chart performance. I hope it becomes a bonafide hit. It will also help the album sell better than Blow would've

Thing is ... it needs to do well on Itunes or POP will drop it like XO. So hopefully once radio does start playing it, it clicks with listeners.
