Wait, this song is such a bop and the instrumental is SICK
Also, there won't be an iTunes effect in Japan. They don't watch music videos there & music videos barely have any effect on the charts there. It's all about radio & mostly promotion there.
isn't she like the biggest international artist there ???
it has yet to crack top 500
Admit it . Japan is not feeling Kawai or they have no idea about this .
What does the Fox Says & Gangnam Stove took awhile to smash! Right ?
They need to scrap GYWYL and release it on Radio asap
iTunes is irrelevant in Japan though. People in Japan claim it's been played on the radio quite a bit, so I don't see what the problem is. Give it time.
Of course Japan isn't buying the song. Everyone in Japan already has 3 copies of the album. Why buy the digital copy of one song they own 3 times over?
you don't know how it works in Japanese market, do you? A second single can barely make Top 100, let alone the 4th single.

Remember her 2007 single Girlfriend? It was met with more critical acclaim than Hello Kitty, but followed much the same formula: Take a genre that’s past its peak appeal (in that case the sounds of Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance), strip it of character, pen vaguely suggestive lyrics about young love, release a No. 1 hit (don’t say I didn’t tell you so when Hello Kitty reaches that lofty position). Watch for Lavigne to ape Miley Cyrus in 2016.
