I'm happy to take a look if you want. It can be really helpful or not helpful at all showing someone else your lyrics based on how your taste/writing style align, but I think I can access lyrics pretty fairly even when they don't match my aesthetic. (Also, I am very direct in my criticism, btw.)

So after thinking about dropping of this last night I can up with the typical complete song but I have this other song that is really short but it's conmplete and it's really personal to my feelings at the time but idk if it'll completely fit the challenge so I'm torn between the two....I might need someone's help in deciding

My song was a mess, y'all give good criticism. Round 1 was hard for me cause I really didn't have a solid concept to run with, I ended up writing lyrics that were contradictory in places. I will bring it in Round 2.

Although I'd love for you to submit a full song, it's definitely more important that it matches the theme for the round, and that the lyrics are something you can feel proud of.

So, if your lyrics are short, but you feel they are complete and you put your best into it, don't be afraid to submit it! I ranked you really high last time, and I'm sure if I liked your entry, I'd do it again.

I still can't find inspiration.

I'm considering of just doing one verse / one chorus because it seemed last round the two who did that got higher scores.

BeyNavi would've been my second place if they submitted a full song, so it still worked against them, and anytime there was a score tie, I put the incomplete song after the complete one. I'm pretty sure Nait doesn't go very lightly on the half-song entries, either.

So don't submit half a song because you'll think you'll do better. If you can't really seem to come up with anything on a quickly-approaching deadline, though, it's better to submit something and stand a chance then nothing and get an auto-DQ.

I guess there's an argument to be made that a half-song that is actually good would rank better than a full song that looks like filler after the first verse. It's whatever you feel comfortable submitting, though.

I need someone to read my lyrics. The song definitely takes a "dark" subject matter but I'm afraid that the chorus takes away the anger and frustration of the verses.
