Why do people think the music videos made a difference for BEYONCE?

If "ARTPOP" had 17 music videos it still would've flopped. Albums are at the point, where the buyers are true fans who would've bought it whether it had the stunts or not (deluxes, videos, bonus tracks, etc).

A lot of her fans became number obsessed and when she underperformed, they jumped ship. She has to reestablish her brand with the GP because BTW left a black cloud over the fun quirky girl from The Fame/The Fame Monster made. Especially with it starting with the Alejandro video. G.U.Y. Is doing well on radio and her tour is selling so i/ not like she's completely rejected.
