I expect the black womanist to have her head by tomorrow. They've dragged nearly every white feminist who has come for Bey and her feminism in the past year or so.

Well they aren't wrong about Beyonce not really being a feminist. She's just claiming to support feminist views because it is the cool thing to do on Tumblr which is where most of her bandwagon fans come from. She is so transparent I mean claiming to be a feminist and then having your husband mock domestic abuse in Drunk in Love (and also singing along with the part at the Grammys) doesn't really sound like a feminist to me!

Women of color who identity as feminist (Asian, Black, Latina, etc.) have felt very outcasted from the feminist movement and feel like white feminist only have the interest for themselves. Look up "intersectionality".

Also, the "Eat the cake, Anna Mae," which again, references domestic violence

It's like Beyoncé cannot be a feminist because they don't view her as strong or independent. It's laughable actually for intellects to feel outraged because they think if her life experiences don't match their own, it excludes her from being about the movement. Feminism doesn't come from a textbook. It comes from taking a moralistic standpoint and living in that regard. Beyoncé has been living as an independent woman who defined her life, her own way. They should be celebrating her plight instead bashing her for being sexual, for being opinionated, and for defining her womanhood.
No one is saying Beyoncé's feminism is perfect.

If beyonce is a feminist, then why does she get called out by actual feminist.
I don't get it. I guess Bey's idea of feminist is different.

This album, also called BEYONCÉ, is a manifesto of Black womanhood and freedom. It sounds free. It feels free. It’s like…it has wings. It floats. It’s light. It’s thoughtful. It’s humorous. It’s reflective. It’s introspective. It’s sensual. It’s sexual. It’s incredibly sexual and I ain’t mad at her. The thing is, it’s not only sexual. This will be hard for her critics to understand because to many people, a Black woman’s celebration of her own body, emotions, thoughts, ideas, choices, decisions and perspectives can only be sexual (and even so, sexuality is not inherently degrading solely because a Black woman has agency; It is misogynoir to think so).
I mean…Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's voice is on the album! I nearly fell out of my chair. This exquisite Black feminist scholar is someone Bey listens to, the same Bey that White feminists are adamant about insulting and marginalizing even as they applaud the racist, culturally appropriative and insensitive actions of White women as automatically “feminist.” Their need to police who is feminist or not, even when a person rejects feminism in life (i.e. Margaret Thatcher) or a person’s being and work is LARGER than White feminism could ever dare to encapsulate (i.e. Madiba) is a White supremacist sickness that is antithetical to fighting oppression.

Dr. Sarah Jackson, a race and media scholar at Boston's Northeastern University, says, "The idea that Beyoncé being sexy is only her performing for male viewers assumes that embracing sexuality isn't also for women." Jackson adds that the criticism also ignores "the limited choices available to women in the entertainment industry and the limited ways Beyoncé is allowed to express her sexuality, because of her gender and her race."

Black women (and girls) have also historically battled the stereotype of innate and uncontrolled lasciviousness, which may explain why Beyoncé's sexuality is viewed differently from that of white artists like Madonna, who is lauded for performing in very similar ways.

Beyoncé's race, once again, complicates the discussion. She is criticized for toying with the traditional "Mrs." moniker at a time of relentless public hand-wringing about black women being half as likely to marry as white women. ABC News actually convened a panel to weigh in on "Why Can't a Successful Black Woman Find a Man?" CNN has aired segments exploring whether the black church or single motherhood is to blame for rampant black female singleness. And men like comedian–turned–relationship guru Steve Harvey are making bank explaining to single black women what they surely must be doing wrong (see "Ill Advised," Bitch no. 56). And what they are doing wrong is understood to be not conforming to traditional ideas of femininity and not mothering in the "right" way (i.e., too often being unmarried "baby mamas" rather than married mommies).
Black women are, it seems, damned if we do and damned if we don't. Our collective singleness, independence, and unsanctioned mothering are an affront to mainstream womanhood. But a high-profile married black woman who uses her husband's name (if only for purposes of showbiz) or admits the influence her male partner has had on her life is an affront to feminism.

The term "white feminist" doesn't really mean any white woman who is a feminist. It's moreso describing a white feminist who only really knows the struggles of other white women and doesn't recognize nor try to understand the struggles that black (or other minority) women face.

I used to love Beyonce, but her arrogance and desperation is no longer accommodating. To be frank, I'm sick of her. She is the most hyped up artist of all time. Her success is no greater, often less, than her peers yet she is The Queen of what exactly? Stunts and shows?
I'd be happy when the end of this year comes and she and her money hungry, sellout husband go have a baby and go into seclusion until the next album.
